This is the Red Shouldered Hawk that I was telling my friend Steve about. Out on La Chua Trail, I walked up to this guy and took several minutes worth of photos of him going about his work. He is in brilliant sunshine, backlit, and this is a spot meter job. This was shot within 21 feet or so (full frame). La Chua Trail, Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park.
